Our Story

APL06731.jpg

Chelsea: I met David at church in the summer of 2024.

David: I remember seeing Chelsea at a street praise... I didn't know she would be this important to me later

Chelsea: My first real memory of him was that day. After that, he joined the church choir team.

David: And somehow, she became my ride to rehearsals and Sunday services.

Chelsea: For months, we barely talked. Every car ride was the same three sentences.

David: I thought I was being polite.

Chelsea: You were being quiet.

David: Fair

Chelsea: Then came February 15, 2025. Snowstorm. I texted him saying church might be cancelled.

David: Which was valid... but also my opportunity to finally have a real conversation.

Chelsea: And somehow, that “real conversation” was about an Instant Pot.
David: Listen… it was a good appliance.
Chelsea: I was genuinely confused. I was like, “Why is Bro David telling me this?”

David: But it worked.
Chelsea: Fortunately… it did.

Chelsea: From that day on, “Bro David” became David…
David: Then Dave…
Chelsea: Then Babe…
David: And now…
Chelsea: My King.

David: What started as a random conversation turned into something I never expected.
Chelsea: And before we knew it… we were talking about wedding plans.

David: One year later, on February 14, 2026, she said yes to marrying me.

Both: And now, here we are.

Trip to Nigeria

We’re so excited to welcome you to Lagos, Nigeria for our celebration. This page gives you a high-level overview of what to expect when planning your trip. For full details, step-by-step guides, and helpful links, please click on “The Celebration Guide” icon.

Flights & Arrival

The main point of arrival is Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos. Most international flights connect through major hubs such as the US, UK, and Canada, depending on your departure location and airline.

We recommend arriving a few days before the wedding to give yourself time to settle in, recover from travel, and adjust comfortably to the environment before the celebrations begin.

Visa & Entry Requirements

Most guests will require a visa to enter Nigeria. We recommend beginning the application process early to avoid any last-minute delays, but not too early as the visa is generally valid for 3 months. A general guideline is to allow 6–8 weeks before your planned travel date.Full step-by-step guidance is available in the Celebration Guide.

Accommodation

We are currently coordinating recommended hotel options and will be sharing more details soon, including potential hotel blocks for guests.

In the meantime, guests are welcome to reach out if they would like guidance or feedback on specific properties they are considering, and we are happy to help where possible.

Getting Around & Travel Tips

During your stay, we recommend using pre-arranged transport for ease, comfort, and reliability when moving around Lagos. We’ve shared a recommended contact in the Celebration Guide.

As you prepare for your trip, we suggest arriving early to allow time to settle in before the wedding events. It’s also helpful to plan for local currency (Naira) for small purchases and to notify your bank ahead of travel to avoid any card issues.

For connectivity, eSIM options are available, making it easy to stay connected throughout your stay.
